Incorporated in the year 1969 in Calcutta, Steel Centre, due to the dearth of quality manufacturers of steel then, started to import and supply steel to various industries.

It was later in the year 1973, that its operations commenced in Bangalore to supply quality steel to sectors, such as Defence, Engineering, Automobile, Forging, Aircraft, Aerospace, Earth-Moving & Bore-well equipment  manufacturers among several others.
