Format for GUPS Case of the Week Submissions
Please use the following format for case submission. Send your cases to “Case of the Week” editors, Dr. Francesca Khani (Frk9007@med.cornell.edu) or Dr. Mahmut Akgul (akgulm@amc.edu).
Submitted cases will undergo a gentle peer-review, editing and final formatting before posting to ensure uniformity.
Case History: concise summary of the relevant clinical scenario
Case one-liner for twitter/Instagram: brief case history in less than 100 characters
Pictures: 3 to 5 images in jpeg format. Please name pictures in order you want them to be shown, e. g. image 01.jpg, image 02.jpg …
Quiz Questions:
● One question which asks: ‘what is the correct diagnosis’ with five answers (a,b,c,d,e)
● Optional: Additional 1-2 questions with five options each
The chosen answer should be a correct one, i.e. please do not submit questions such as ‘all of the following is correct, except’. The second and third questions could address additional issues related to prognostication, molecular findings, etc.
Discussion: Concise summary of the salient features of the case with review of the recent literature.
