About Sree Siddaganga Math

Sree Siddaganga Math Tumakuru, Karnataka is one of the most ancient and renowned spiritual centres of South India situated amidst serene and colourful landscape at a distance Of 63 km from Bengaluru on Bengaluru-Pune highway. Sree Siddaganga Math has a history of over 600 years and is working relentlessly on the philosophies of 12th Century Sharana Sree Basaveshwara namely, Kayaka (work is worship), Dasoha (share the excess earned) and seve (service to mankind). Sree Siddaganga Math was founded by the great saint Sree Sree Gosala Siddeshwara Shivayogi. His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Mahashivayogi was initiated to the holy order in 1930 by his guru His Holiness Sree Sree Uddanashivayogi and became the Mathadhyaksha of the Math (Revered President) in the year 1941. The vision of Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Mahashivayogi of providing quality education has been carried forward by His Holiness Sree Siddalinga Swamiji the present President of Sree Siddaganga Math.
